The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. Created in 1992, it has co-financed thousands of projects. The new LIFE programme 2021-2027 is managed by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and has a budget of €5.4 billion. Each year, CINEA and the different ministries organize EU-wide, as well as local state Information Days to recruit new applicants and create opportunities for experience exchange and netowkring.
On May 25, 2022, Hrvatske šume took part in the LIFE Info Days in Croatia. The presentation was attended by Jasenka Barilar, expert associate for EU projects and the meeting provided excellent opportunities for networking and experience exhange.
In Romania the LIFE InfoDays and Networking event was celebrated in Lepsa/Romania on 18-20.05.2022. Representatives of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority presented the LIFE WILDisland project and the event was promoted on the DDBRA Facebook site.
