General Information
Since the reconnection of the side branch in 2003 (LIFE project), the Entenhaufen got back its character as island and resulted in an increase of the habitat conditions.
Diverse floodplain forests. Nature zone and core area of the Donau-Auen National Park! Non-intervention management on a large scale. Due to rests of infrastructure (forest roads, embankments), defined as island character B. Restricted entrance for visitors according to the management plan of the Donau-Auen National Park.
Conservation status: National Park, Natura 2000
