General Information
Since the restoration of the side branches, this is the largest island in the area of Haslau. Nature zone of the Donau-Auen National Park, therefore non-intervention management is established. Danube river bank embanked. The island includes some cross-dams, forest roads and river regulation structures (embankments). Riparian forest includes large stands of hybrid poplars (out of management since the establishment of the National Park).
Further steps of redynamization are in preparation.
