General Information
Large gravel banks and primeval forests (in the age of approx. 30 years) make this island unique for the Upper Danube. Very nice gradient from gravel banks, willow bush vegetation to poplar stands. Important breeding site for Little Ringed Plover and Sand Piper, therefore, it is strictly forbidden to enter the area.
Conservation status: National Park, Natura 2000
