General Information
This is the last artificial island resulting after the cutting of the meander on the Sfantu Gheorghe branch. It is surrounded by water permanently at any water level. The surface of the island is covered with willows, poplars and reed. The vegetation of the island is the natural vegetation present before the cutting. Inside the island two small channels were cut for flooding purposes, to optimize fish breeding areas.
