Hrvatske šume participated in the traditional 6th Flower Festival at King Držislav Park, Osijek held on May 12-14, 2023.

In addition to the presentation of the Naturavita project Razminiranje, obnova i zaštita šuma i šumskog zemljišta u zaštićenim i Natura 2000 područjima u dunavsko-dravskoj regiji (Demining, restoration and protection of forests and forest land in protected and Natura 2000 areas in the Danube-Drava region), which is nearing completion, this year Hrvatske šume also presented the LIFE WILDislands project, which refers to the conservation and restoration of certain Danube islands in eight Danube countries with fifteen partners participate in the project.

This year, the exhibition space was decorated with dendro material from the nursery Hajderovac Šumarije Kutjevo, UŠP Požega. Seven forms of ornamental trees were exhibited, and six forms of different lower or higher tree species. Despite the unstable weather conditions, many visitors to the Festival showed a greatest interest in the ornamental form of Fagus sylvatica tricolor. The main event took place on Saturday, and the day before the afternoon was reserved for workshops for the youngest visitors. At our workshop of the Naturavita project, children counted trees by cutting acacia logs. Some recognized that they have already visited the "Podravlje" Education and Visitor Center with their schools. They promised that they would visit their aspen plant with their parents, which they had planted with the class when they visited the Center.
