General Information
This island is located upstream of the mouth of the Schwechat river. It includes relatively large gravel banks and natural willow stands. Due to ongoing sedimentation, the island character is more and more connected with the river bank.
This riverine habitat is strictly protected by the Donau-Auen National Park.
Conservation status: National Park, Natura 2000
