General Information

The islands lie southern from “Entau and are part of an old river bed complex. Both islands have groynes, the northern island (DE072) has valuable softwood galleries  and is only visited by fisherman. The larger island has grasslands, wetlands and softwood galleries, it is also used agricultural. The stone dike that runs between the islands and the mainland. At extreme low water level the water between the island and the main land can dry up completely.
