General Information
Two renaturalized sections of the Danube with a total length of about 1100 m below the weir of “Laiz” to “Sigmaringen”. The banks of the Danube are cleared of obstructions by summer 2011 and widened in places. The formerly monotonous river bed was enriched by excavation work with bed structures and islands, whereby the formerly monotonous profile was given a more natural appearance.
Conservation Status: FFH-Schutzgebiet
