General Information
This is an artificial island resulting after the cutting of the meander on the Sfantu Gheorghe branch. It is covered with willows, poplars, Tamarix tetrandra, reed and a small poplar plantation on the bottom right side of the island. Inside the island two small channels were cut for flooding purposes, to optimize fish breeding areas.
Conservation status: Biosphere Reservation
