General Information
This is an artificial island arising from the cutting of the meander on the Sfantu Gheorghe branch. Almost half of the island still has its natural vegetation, represented by willows, Tamarix tetrandra and reed. The other part was set up for poplar plantation.
Conservation status: Biosphere Reservation
