General Information
Island created by gravel sandy deposits with very sparse vegetation in early successional stage of development, consisting mostly of young white willows and also some poplar species. The island is forming beyond a groyne field. Gravel and sand deposits sedimented by the river will further increase the elevation of the island. This island is a great example of changes in river morphology through dynamic movement of sediments in riverbed.
Conservation status: Natura 2000
